PREAMBLE

This CPM comprehensive course offers participants an in-depth understanding of public debt management, focusing on strategies, frameworks, and practical tools to effectively manage sovereign debt portfolios. The course addresses key challenges faced by governments in maintaining sustainable debt levels while meeting developmental goals. Participants will explore debt recording and reporting, risk assessment, debt restructuring, and the impact of debt on macroeconomic stability. Emphasis is placed on the practical application of analytical techniques and international best practices guided by the World Bank’s Debt Management Performance Assessment (DeMPA) framework.
