PREAMBLE
The Community Development Project Proposal Writing and Fundraising training is a practical two-week programme designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to identify funding opportunities, develop competitive community development project proposals, prepare realistic budgets, and mobilize financial and non-financial resources for sustainable community initiatives.
The training focuses on the complete project proposal development and fundraising cycle, from community needs identification and project concept development to proposal writing, donor research, budgeting, fundraising strategies, donor engagement, submission, and grant management. Participants will also learn how to align proposals with donor priorities, demonstrate measurable results, develop sustainability strategies, and build long-term relationships with funding partners.
Through practical exercises, case studies, group work, proposal development sessions, and simulated donor presentations, participants will have an opportunity to develop a complete community development project proposal and fundraising strategy.
