Preamble
This CPM intensive two-week training course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to conduct Road Safety Audits (RSAs) and Road Safety Inspections (RSIs) on new and existing road infrastructure. The course covers international best practices, methodologies, procedures, tools, and reporting requirements for identifying road safety deficiencies and recommending cost-effective countermeasures.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the safe system approach, road user behavior, crash causation factors, road design safety principles, and the application of road safety audits and inspections throughout the project lifecycle. The training combines classroom instruction, case studies, group exercises, field inspections, and practical audit assignments.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to plan, conduct, document, and report road safety audits and inspections that contribute to safer road networks and reduced traffic crashes and fatalities.
