Preamble

This two-week training program provides participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in sustainable infrastructure development and project management, with a strong focus on China’s experience and best practices.
The course explores how sustainability principles are integrated into the planning, financing, design, construction, and operation of infrastructure projects, including transportation, energy, water, and urban development. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This intensive CPM two-week training equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to design, implement, monitor, and coordinate Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions in humanitarian emergencies. The course focuses on applying international standards (Sphere, WHO, UNICEF), emergency response modalities, and context-appropriate technologies across different emergency phases, including preparedness, response, and early recovery.

Through case studies, simulations, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain experience in rapid needs assessment, emergency water supply, sanitation solutions, hygiene promotion, WASH coordination, and accountability to affected populations.

Operating in conflict-affected, post-disaster, or high-stress development contexts, these professionals often encounter individuals and communities experiencing acute and chronic psychological trauma. The course blends theoretical knowledge with practical skills to help participants identify, assess, and respond appropriately to trauma-related challenges within their project settings.

Participants will learn to integrate trauma-informed approaches into their daily operations and understand how to support colleagues, beneficiaries, and vulnerable populations while minimizing the risk of secondary trauma and burnout among project staff.
